REACH regulation

The ECHA sign ECHA is the European Chemicals Agency

The REACH regulation replaces large parts of chemicals legislation that was in force before 1 June 2007 in the EU and in Sweden. REACH came into force within the whole of EU on 1 June 2007, but will be applied step by step.

These webpages gives a general overview and information about the responsibility of manufacturers, importers, suppliers and downstream users of chemical substances, mixtures and articles. The information is based on how the Swedish Chemicals Agency interprets REACH. The legally binding text of the Ordinance and how it is to be interpeted can only be decided by a court.
