Co-operation with non-governmental organisations

In 2006, the Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) started collaboration with the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SNF) and the International Chemical Secretariat, ChemSec.

SNF and the ChemSec co-operate with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) who are engaged in activities in developing countries to limit the damage on human beings and the environment arising from the use of hazardous chemicals and who develop sustainable alternatives.

The support can take the form of core funding, support to projects, opportunities to attend meetings, support to influence public opinion and to make investigations, and opportunities to participate in seminars and training programmes in Sweden and other countries.
